Your first medspa appointment is an exciting step toward achieving your aesthetic goals. At Beautiful Aesthetics, we want you to feel confident and prepared for your initial consultation and treatment. Here’s everything you need to know to make the most of your visit.
Before Your Appointment
Schedule a consultation first to discuss your concerns and goals with our experienced team. Come prepared with questions about specific treatments you’re interested in, whether that’s injectables, laser treatments, or skin rejuvenation procedures. It’s helpful to bring photos of results you admire or specific concerns you’d like to address, as visual references help our practitioners understand your aesthetic vision.
Review your medical history and make note of any medications, supplements, or health conditions. Certain blood thinners, anti-inflammatory medications, and supplements like fish oil or vitamin E can increase bruising, so you may need to discontinue them several days before injectable treatments. If you have a history of cold sores and are considering treatments around the mouth area, let us know as you may need antiviral medication.
Day of Your Visit
Arrive with a clean face, free of makeup if you’re having facial treatments. This allows our team to properly assess your skin and ensures treatments can begin immediately. Wear comfortable clothing, especially if you’re having body treatments or procedures that require lying down for extended periods.
Hydrate well in the days leading up to your appointment and on the day itself. Well-hydrated skin responds better to treatments and can help minimize potential side effects. Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before your visit, as it can thin the blood and increase bruising risk.
What to Expect During Your Consultation
Your provider will conduct a thorough skin analysis and discuss your medical history, lifestyle factors, and aesthetic goals. Be honest about your expectations and budget—this helps us create a realistic, personalized treatment plan. Don’t hesitate to ask about credentials, experience with specific procedures, recovery time, potential side effects, and expected results.
After Your Treatment
Plan for some downtime depending on your procedure. While many treatments have minimal recovery, some may cause temporary redness, swelling, or require you to avoid certain activities. Ask about post-treatment care instructions before you leave, including when you can resume exercise, apply makeup, or undergo additional treatments.
At Beautiful Aesthetics, your comfort, safety, and satisfaction are our top priorities. We’re here to guide you through every step of your aesthetic journey with expertise and care.
