For treatments utilizing microneedling with radio frequency (RF), our device of choice is Scarlet RF Microneedling, which we selected over Morpheus8 because of increased safety, comfort, and customization for the targeted skin concern, as well as downtime and healing considerations. In particular, Morpheus8 has faced criticism over the greater depth the needles penetrate into skin tissue; many expert practitioners believe that microneedling shouldn’t go so deep. Scarlet is less invasive and easier to tailor for specific skincare concerns, making it more suitable for a full range of skin tones and types.
